training: Creating Creative European Citizens

Richter is organizing from 6 till 13 March 2010 an training in Novi Sad, Serbia. In organizing this training Richter wishes to give opportunities to organizations from Europe and from the South East part of Europe to share their experiences and gain knowledge and new skills in the fields of youth work and youth arts, as well as establishing new contacts and developing common project ideas within the frame of the Youth in Action program.

 

The project will bring together a maximum of 16 professional youth workers to work together to explore concepts of citizenship and to learn skills which they can use with their own target groups to support them in becoming active and creative citizens within Europe. The impact of the training will therefore be not only on participants, who will have the opportunity to develop themselves, but also on the target groups of the organizations that they represent. 

 

Partners

 

The project will be managed by Richter, which is an NGO from the Netherlands, and is head responsible to deliver the training and travel arrangements. Richter organizes over 15 youth exchanges and trainings/seminars per year: we are also much involved in EVS programs as a sending and hosting organization.

 

Richter will be working in close co-operation with U-GO, a new youth arts and youth work NGO based in Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. U-GO’s vision is that all young people in Europe have access to quality youth work which uses the arts as a tool for informal learning.

 

The local Serbian partner who is ONO – Omladinska Nevladina Organizacija. ONO is a NGO, which started its work in year 2005, with the aim to improve the quality of life of young people and to encourage their social inclusion and activism. ONO is responsible for accommodation, food and local transport. Also the study visits are there responsibility and is a part of the practical side of the training.

Poetic art-trash in Richter

This exhibition is the result of the complementary work of Ellen Gieles and Helena Kersten, they are artist coming from Belgium.

The work of Ellen Gieles is inspired by our consumption-throwing society. She collects a lot of garbage or left behind by nature. She gives to the trash a new, often poetic, live.Helena Kersten makes drawings and stripping tales about her point of vieuw on the world, it’s often humoristic and strange. She knows how to take you to her own world; she transforms things and let you enjoy her own “moving” world.

We invite you gladly to attends this new captivating exhibition. This will be on the 25th of April at 16:00 in presence of the artists and the exhibition wil be open by an French noisy-trashy performer Steve Hurring-Laddi.

The werkatelier is open en Wednesday, Thusday, Friday and Saturday fron 12:00 till 17:30.

Training for youth and youth leaders “The Map of “European Citizenship”

On the 15-21 of May public organization EURC “Social Partnership” Donetsk, in cooperation with partner organizations “Richter” from the Netherlands and the Scottish organisation U-GO, will organize an international training for volunteers and youth leaders called “The Map of European Citizenship”.

The main aim of the training is to provide young people, who are actively involved into decision making processes in our societies, with necessary knowledge and skills in order to build a European net of partner organizations, to establish contacts and cooperation with international organizations and to learn about European citizenship and countries which are on its map.

This is also a good opportunity to change for a few days the daily routine of the participants, to meet new people, to have informal discussions and to learn others points of view. It’s also a good moment and opportunity to design interested youth project.

Representatives from 15 European countries: Ukraine, Macedonia, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and other countries will take part in the training. This event became a reality thanks to the financial support of the European Youth Foundation http://www.eyf.coe.int/fej/.
