Exhibit by Mother and daughter Mink

Filed under: News and Events — admin @ 10:41 pm

The view box of contemporary artist Maria Mink was one of the many attractions during the recent art route and most visitors knew the way to the work atelier SK. But to everything comes an end and the view box has returned to it’s place with the other boxes in the attic. Many visitors were impressed by her work and to meet the needs of the people we have asked Maria Mink to put together an exhibit giving us an over view of her work. Most of her work is created after a period of travel. Seeing different surroundings uitnodiging_expo_oktober-nov.jpgprovides such a burst of energy and inspiration to create more work as soon as possible. The sea is still a source of inspiration returning in her work time and time again.

Besides this she constantly tries to create shapes and uses a range of techniques. Agnes Mink is co- exhibiter and daughter of Maria Mink. She takes her inspiration from the — Schagen based artist – shapes and signs from (rock) cave drawings, the earthly tones and their straight lines lying on a rough surface. Other things that inspire her are the small and fragile such as for example the shape of a leaf or simply the lines of a tree or rock or something you can find on the street. We cordially invite you to join us for the opening of the exhibition on Thursday the 18th of October at 16:30 at ’t Juttersplein 2 te Den Helder. The work atelier is open on Wednesday,Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 till 17.30. Tel. 0223 619109 of mail :richterholland@hotmail.com. As well as this the “see, Buy, Bye” part of the gallery is a welcome addition to the already very diverse collection. In short something for everyone and for a reasonable price.

Richter training on the island of Texel

Filed under: News and Events — admin @ 10:00 pm

Richter is organizing from 14 till 21 October an European training that is dealing with the subject voluntary work throughout Europe and the role and position youth takes in this field of work. How does Western Europe organise its voluntary work, and how does (for example) the new European countries organise theirs? We will have a deeper look at the differences and similarities. What can the participants learn from an organisation from Estonia or Sweden? We will have a look at the positive sides of both of them. What is good and interesting volunteer project? In what way are volunteers protected by law during their projects; does it even exist in Spain and what about Malta?  The training brings 17 professionals together from Estonia, Lithuania, Greece, Hungarian, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Latvia, Romania and Bulgarian that has a mandate from there organizations and who are experienced as professionals in the field of youth work. They all have experience in the program Youth in Action and regular organize youth activities.

On Thursday 18 October we take the boat to the Richter headquarters to have a study visit in the Richter euro house and werkatelier. Next to this we want to work on an European network, building “youth” bridges, establish new contacts and partnerships. We hope that the training will help the applicants and their organisations to improve their skills and to enhance their knowledge of the theme.

The training is financed by the European commission in the frame of the Youth in Action program. This program makes an important contribution to the acquisition of competences and is therefore a key instrument in providing young people with opportunities for non-formal and informal learning with a European dimension. It contributes to the framework of European Cooperation in the youth field, democracy, dialogue and debate and aims to respond at European level to the needs of young people from adolescence to adulthood.
