Richter will participate on 15 and 16 September in a local initiative called Art Route. The idea behind this route is to open the workshops, galleries and other locations where people are involved in some way with Art.

During the Art route we invited artist Maria Mink to create her own fantasy in our werkatelier. The visitors will find them self in Pandora box, sometimes feeling small or being a giant for a day. The word Art can put in this context in a wide prospective.

From the 28th of July its the turn of a group of young Transnistic artists to display their work at Richters work atelier. After a very successful exhibition of some young Irish artists from Belfast containing mainly abstract work, we now see a collection of realistic, impressionistic and surrealistic works of art. This republic of Trans-Nistrië is an orthodox Stalinist mini state, not officially recognised by any country in the world and internationally is still considered to be a part of Moldavia. Trans-Nistrië is the last communist enclave of Europe.

During the local music day on the 7th of June the regular exhibition at the work atelier formes the background for several Helderian DJs to show off their “skills”. And its a great occasion to get acquainted with the qualities of the Helderian DJ’s and the new digs of Richter.

These seven young artists are all members of a North Irish art collective known as “the Irish (art)Tourist” and they exhibit together with an additional group of young enthusiastic artists, each with their own specialised and unique individual input. The Irish (art) Tourist is based in Belfast and mainly focuses and occupies itself with imagery, texts and their group synergy. Boundary crossing theme’s as a reaction on their surroundings enjoy their preference and connect with one of the collectives main goals to inspire people to think and titillate.
